July

Hi everyone,
Just wanted you to know that we have made a few changes at the sanctuary. Hope, our only female pup, is now Glacier's new roomate. Glacier is not as excited as we hoped he would be, but he is coming around. Hope is very happy to have a big enclosure and is taking advantage of it by running around and exploring it. Churchill is also in his new home, behind the main pack. He had to be separated from his pack because he was being picked on too much. He is still by himself, but soon will be joined with a new pack, if all goes well. Keep your fingers crossed! That's all for now. See ya, Kyla from Kids Wolf Talk. :)

Hi Kyla, it's Top. Why did you give Glacier a new partner? what happened to his old one? How do the wolves act in the heat?

Hi Kyla, it's Top. How are the wolves doing in this heat? How often do they get fresh water?

Hi Top,
We gave Glacier a new partner since the two females he use to share his enclosure with passed away. He was very lonely without a female. Glacier seems to be getting use to Hope. He is not as aggressive with her as he was at first. The wolves do not like the heat at all. When we are not feeding them, they are usually under their sheds, lying in the cool dirt, or in a nice shady area. Some of them cool off by putting their legs into their water buckets. We wish we had pools for all of them to cool off in. In the summer, the wolves get fresh water two times a day. Thanks for stopping in. See ya, Kyla from Kids Wolf Talk :)
